Maandag 16 maart heeft het KNGF, ons genootschap Fysiotherapie, uitvoerig overleg gehad met het ministerie van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport. Hieruit kwam de volgende conclusie:
“Ons wordt gevraagd om noodzakelijke fysiotherapeutische zorg te blijven leveren. Om schouder aan schouder met huisartsen en medici te staan. Als primair aanspreekpunt voor houding- en beweging gerelateerde zorg, zodat huisartsen en ziekenhuizen NIET nog meer belast worden. Denk aan bijvoorbeeld valtrauma’s van ouderen, het op de been houden van cruciale beroepsgroepen, fundamentele klachten aan het houdings- en bewegingsapparaat en zorgen dat mensen langer thuis kunnen blijven om ziekenhuizen te ontlasten.”

Natuurlijk hebben wij ook onze voorzorgsmaatregelen genomen. Naast de hygiënische maatregelen zijn alle ‘commerciële’ activiteiten, zoals oefengroepen bij Joey, strippenkaarten, valpreventie en zwangerfit, per direct gestopt. Daarnaast is de wachtruimte anders ingedeeld en hebben we een restrictie op het aantal mensen in de oefenzaal (welke tevens anders ingedeeld is). Doordat we op twee locaties gevestigd zijn, kunnen we zorgen voor een goede spreiding van het aantal patiënten en fysiotherapeuten.
